Verdict
Superb goal is worth thethe asking price. The image quality and bokeh is in league with most triggers in the same range and aperture. Who should buy this? Anyone who needs an extra-strong, sport, wildlife or the general objective lens of f / 4 at end of period.
Review:
The lens is superb. MDS is the emphasis seems quiet and reliable with my K-7. Go to its target and stops. It is not very fast but not slow either. It seems to work quite well for some birds in flight and monitor other emphasis continuesactivities. If you use screws focus with this lens, is strong enough to be typical of other DA * lenses screw drive gear.
The sharpness of the lens never ceases to amaze me. Zoom to see 100% and the pixels are always clear, even on my K-7, which is 14.6 MP. It seems more than about 5.6, but it's very good wide open. The behavior is a bit 'as 70-200mm f / 4 lenses in this sense. As this internal focus, the focal length is measured at infinity. Seemssignificantly lower than at home almost all so typical of glasses. Unlike some economic objectives that the target does not disappoint for distant subjects.
The aim is to target someone who is accustomed to a 100-400mm for full frame. It has a tripod, and speaking of which, at the foot of the tripod is easily removable if you are in (the ring is the lens), but I like to use the leg as a handle When He shot a balance of Nice. Thestill ring every 90 degrees so it is easier to rotate 90 degrees. My only word of warning is sure to keep close the tripod, use a coin or something. If the hand tighten the screw, it could make its way out, which would be unpleasant to say the least. The aim is not great if you're used to the lenses as the Sigma 100-300mm f / 4. And 'next to this small goal. It 'pretty close to a 70-200mm f/2.8, and perhaps slightly' smaller.
Mostof my minor complaints with this lens are mechanical. Do not get me wrong, it feels great, but missing a block or something to keep the barrel extends into position while walking. The latch keeps the barrel extension, but does not take much to remove. There is also a small amount of barrel waver (unless you print). It is not limiter to help accelerate the focus, not good fighters often.
My little problem with the left side isI had a bit soft 'worried at first, but it is really noticeable when shooting brick wall and seems to go all out. This reflects what SLRGear given their opinion is.
Optically, there is some 'visible green / magenta CA bokeh, but it is quite minor and easily corrected in post. You will see some occasional fringes near the edges of the frame too extreme in situations of high contrast, But is still better than average in this sense and not tono contrast systemic damage (as in most lenses 70-300mm). overall contrast is superb with this objective.
The question I always feel Why would I buy this lens when I buy my 55-300mm quarter of the price? Believe me, this lens is worth every penny. It 'really in a league other than the 55-300mm, which is a great lens, but you get what you pay. Looking at the photo does not cut there will be only slight differences, but looking at 100% or arableprints the difference is clearly visible.
I almost abandoned this goal to 4 stars because of minor complaints I had with me, but the goal always makes me smile when I see the results. For this reason, I have given 5 stars. This lens combined with the K-7 to an unbeatable all-time camera kit.

I love this goal! I moved from 18 to 250 and will probably never look back.
It is a beast – the only thing that the Pentax DA 18-250 was during this weight and size – if you're hiking all day this is not the goal that want your neck. I use the D-rings for my backpack to hold my camera and lens – much easier on the neck.
If you are looking for a zoom of the scene strong and can support the enormous cost – is a good target for acquisition. Hemuch better than the IQ of 18-250 plus has the ability to focus manually if necessary. It 's easier to stop a little past 200 mm.
Best long tele zoom for Pentax DSRL – Timo Torma – Copiapó, Chile

This is an excellent lens for Pentax cameras DSRL. I have nothing positive to say, but after a month of use with K-7.
Although it has no zoom lock, the gun does not show rampant.
The tripod is easy to leave when it is not necessary and the necklace is 90 degrees, which pointsyou hear very clearly when you turn the collar. Zoom ring feels a bit 'sticky if you try to zoom out until the holding of the lens, but due to the weight of the cane and glass. If you play the lowest point of the movement becomes soft.
The only thing I can find is a bit 'small oscillation of the barrel during zoom at all, but seems to have no effect on image quality.
The absence of a limiter can cause slow development as the mechanism must be complete if you travelpre-focus manually.
