Wedding Photo Books Make Perfect Gifts   by Andrew L.

While most brides wait anxiously for their wedding photos to be returned so they can display them in their homes and post them online, many don’t realize that wedding photo books are an ideal way to say thank you to the many people who made your wedding a success. As an Atlanta wedding photographer, I get many requests from the family and friends of the newly married couple to get pictures from the wedding to keep for themselves. Not only do people want to remember your big day with you, they often enjoy seeing themselves dressed up and looking beautiful in photos. Giving wedding photo books as gifts lets the people who care enough to celebrate with you enjoy the memories of that special day for years to come.

Weddings bring together the most important people in a youg couples life. Family that they may not see often, friends that travel from far away, and the people who will stand by you in your new life are all together in one place, and my job as an Atlanta wedding photographer is to capture all of them in pictures for you to enjoy. Creating wedding photo books with pictures of loved ones is a special way to tell them that they are important to you, now and forever. Giving a relative a photo book that includes pictures of you with them as well as photos of other close family is about more than just celebrating your big day, it is a way to tell them how much they mean to you.

Wedding photo books are available in a wide range of sizes, from large books perfect for a coffee table to pint size tomes perfect for tucking into a purse. While most couples order photos in a book for themselves, they should ask their photographer about creating several different books to give to family and friends. At a minimum, you should consider a book for the parents of both the bride and groom and for each memeber of the wedding party. Your photographer can even include a space for you to write a personal reflection on your big day or a note to your loved ones.

More than just a memory of your wedding, photo books become a treasured memento for everyone involved. The books let them see pictures of themselves with you and other family and friends and become a rememberance of a special time. Working as an Atlanta wedding photographer, I am careful to catch pictures that have a greater meaning. Photos of a bride with her mother and grandmother or groom with his father and grandfather are a perfect example. There may not be many times in your life when you can capture three or more generations dressed beautifully and ready to sit for a portrait, but a wedding gives you the perfect opportunity. Kids at weddings are another great photo subject, capturing kids as they play is an unforgettable wedding memory.

After your wedding, spend some time working with your photographer to created wedding photo books for the most important people in your lives. Whether you save them to give as holiday gifts or simply send them along with a heartfelt thank-you note, your family will treasure the moments when two families joined because of the love you share as a couple.
