Some basic digital photography
As a designer and occasional photographer, I found it useful to take a little "cheat sheet" with these elements when in the shooting field. This reference is useful for the fans and the casual photographer who wants to learn more.
Many of them are for SLR cameras and camera settings and video
Resolution (for digital cameras and video)
* Remember, you can not "add" the new resolution in a photo as soon as ittaken. However, you can always drop in high-resolution photos with an image editing program like Photoshop. Most digital cameras allow you to change this setting.
* Fine, or high resolution – ideal for later printing or enlarging photos.
* Low resolution – ideal for e-mail or posting on the Web.
F-Stop – Opening (f/22 f-stop – f/1.4)
* = F/22 opening is closed, what a great depth of 4 ft. to infinity – Ideal for large openLandscapes
F/16 * = 5 to 18 ft in brief
* F / 8 = 11.6 ft.
* F / 4 = 9.7 m
* = Aperture F/1.4 more open to keep the shallow depth and is limited to what is close and the background out of focus. Ideal for portrait photography.
Shutter speed
* In general, ranges from 1 / 8 second to 1 / 2000 second (the most common default)
* Leaving the shutter open for longer than necessary for good night shots interesting.
* Make sure you use a tripod for slowShutter speeds.
* 8.1 (blurry moving objects), the second runner is blurry look fuzzy or soft lights running water.
* move to 1 / 2000 (continued sharp objects) of a second to stop a runner or running water.
ISO – film speed (100-1000 Speed)
* 100 is for bright light, clear and sharp
* 1000 for low light or dark, grainy – There is also a filter, you can use in Photoshop to achieve this effect. (Add Noise)
